Dead River Runs Dry: Winter 2012
30/11/12 || gk
This is the debut recording from Australian black metal band Dead River Runs Dry and its not a bad start at all. The band does the whole depressive black metal thing and every one of the four songs here has individual parts that are pretty good. However, the songs don’t really come together as a whole and instead feel like a collection of different ideas strung together. It’s only on song 4 that the band is able to bring together its riffs into a good song. Still, Dead River Runs Dry is a band worth keeping an eye on.
6/10: This band could one day be something special. Just not yet.
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
